Our Mission
Share of McLean is an all-volunteer, community-based nonprofit that teams with individual donors and partner organizations to assist our neighbors who face food insecurity, economic hardships or related challenges.
The Neighbors We Serve

Share supports 1,400 households, including 3,500 family members. Our recipients consist of economically distressed families and individuals, seniors living on limited pensions, impoverished immigrants, and the unhoused. Clients are referred to us by county social workers, faith communities, and school counselors.
How We Operate

Share has served our community since 1969. Share relies entirely on volunteers from our community. It takes more than 1,000 volunteer hours per month to run our programs, so we are always recruiting new volunteers. Our food and clothing room is housed is space geneoursly donated by the McLean Baptist Church.
