DO YOU NEED HELP?

​​Share’s Food and Clothing Pantry is available to neighbors who live in zip codes 22101, 22102, 22066, and the Pimmit section of 22043. You do not need to schedule an appointment to receive food, but you must register annually. Please see instructions on this page. 

 

​Location: 1367 Chain Bridge Road, Door #8, of the McLean Baptist Church

Hours:  Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, and on the first and third Thursday of every month for seniors over 55.

Share's Financial Aid Program provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical services, prescriptions, school dues, and other essential services.  

 

If you live in Share’s service areas (zip codes 22101, 22102, 22066, and parts of 22043),

please call the Share answering service at (703) 229-1414.  A Family Assistance Coordinator will call back to assess your need and determine qualifications for assistance. 

 

If you live outside our service area zip codes, please contact Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning at 703-222-0880. 

Share’s Furniture Program provides basic furnishings to neighbors in need, including beds, dressers, tables, chairs, and living room furniture suitable for small apartments. We only require a referral from a social worker or church worker to confirm that the recipient cannot afford to buy furniture.

HOW TO REGISTER for SHARE SERVICES:

Step 1:  Print the attached registration form (English version / Spanish version) or pick one up at the Share Registration desk in the McLean Baptist Church. 

 

Step 2: Complete and sign the registration form; bring proof of address documentation to the Share Registration desk.   

   

Head of Household

a.    Photo Id

b.    Two proofs of address with name dated within the last two months

Examples: Virginia Driver’s license with current address, phone bill, utility bill, bank statement, government letter, rental lease, medical bill.  Documentation needs to be digital. 

Not Acceptable:  Promotional mail or Share mail

For each member living in your household ages 19 years or older

a. One proof of address with their name listed (see examples above)

 

Students Only (Grade K-12 & College)

a. One proof of school attendance with the student’s name

Examples:  current report card (paper or electronic), free & reduced lunch letter, official Fairfax County document, SIS Parent View registration, college enrollment letter or email

 

Step 3:  If approved, you may begin shopping at the pantry the same day
